Sat 4/18 - Knitting Skill Builder: Fixing mistakes, 1-3pm

$45.00

Whether you just started knitting or have been knitting for ages, knitting mistakes happen! This workshop with Emily Landry helps you identify mistakes and fix them as you go so you can confidently complete your knitting projects. In this workshop, we will cover:
- dropped stitches
- twisted stitches
- tinking stitches (un-knitting, or undoing stitches one at a time)
- safely frogging (or pulling out) one or multiple rows of stitches.

This is a great class to take with a knitting buddy! Class is designed for teen and adult learners who know how to cast on, knit, and purl. Homework is required beforehand as follows.

Homework: Knit 2 swatches in a light colored, worsted weight (or thicker) yarn and appropriately sized needles. (We have a large selection of 2nd hand acrylic yarn available for purchase, or you can use any worsted weight yarn you already own)

First swatch, cast on 20 stitches and knit 10 rows of stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row etc.), do not bind off, leave stitches on needle.

On a second set of needles knit a second swatch,
cast on 20 stitches and knit 16 rows of garter stitch (knit all rows), do not bind off, leave stitches on needle.

If you can’t make this class time, it will be offered on a regular basis!
