Saturday 11/7 Bojagi Patchwork Class! with Briana Hefley-Shepard 2pm-5pm

$60.00

We are thrilled to invite you to a brand new workshop with renowned Tulsa fiber artist Briana Hefley-Shepard (aka Bifftastica) for a fun afternoon of learning Korean style patchwork, called Bojagi. This fascinating yet simple traditional method features finished seams on the backside, so that both the front and back are useable for things like garments, light blankets or curtains- as shown in the photos.

Materials & tools: We have all the tools to share, but if you have your own you might like to bring: small cutting mat, rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, small ruler, small iron and pressing pad. You are welcome to bring fabric you already have at home, and we have fabric available to purchase, and some will be provided. You’ll want to have about a yard of fabrics total, made up of scraps or precuts of solid(ish) cotton, linen, or batiks that look the same on both sides. And keep in mind that the thread is seen in the top stitches when choosing a color.

This 3 hour workshop is $60, and includes some fabrics from our 2nd Hand selection. You can bring your own machine, or borrow one of ours.

Adults and teens, ages 13 and up. It is important to have machine sewing experience equivalent to our Beginner Sewing Class.
