Join Emily Landry of Quiltbag for this afternoon introduction to Foundation Paper Piecing! FPP is a quilting technique that allows you to use weird cuts of scrap fabric to create a precise quilt block or image, by sewing your fabrics down to a paper backing that provides guidelines.
This class is intended for teens and adults. Enthusiastic sewists of all sewing abilities are welcome, but please know how to sew on a machine (such as our Beginner Sewing Class). Your registration includes instruction, use of our sewing machines* and tools, and an assortment of paper piecing templates and scrap fabrics to start with.
We will also explore uses for your mini FPP creations, resources for finding more templates, and discuss examples of larger FPP projects.
*(as needed, though we encourage you to bring your own!)
