Community Craft is celebrating Christmas in July on Saturday, 7/25, with a holiday fabric bolt drop from Owl & Drum and Christmas themed classes!

Jen Marquez Ginn is introducing a make and take inspired by Under the Olive Tree’s Mini Christmas Stocking!

We recommend this activity for adults and teens who have knitting experience and are able to cast on and make knit and purl stitches. For this project, we’ll be knitting in-the-round on smaller needles, and incorporating decreases and short rows, which Jen will help you with along the way as you work through the pattern.

Materials required for this class, available for purchase in the shop!:

  • yarn in two colors for the cuff and stocking – we’re using fingering weight (1), but any size works

  • circular or double-pointed needles to match your yarn – we’re using US sizes 1–3, but we recommend larger if you’re using a thicker yarn

Optional materials (we’ll have some to borrow):

  • one stitch marker

  • a crochet hook

  • scissors or snips
