We planned a fun next step for those who are ready to level up their crochet skills—learn how to crochet amigurumi with Jen Marquez Ginn of Morel Fiber Arts!
In this class, you’ll learn how to crochet Mary Makes’ Mini Dino! You’ll learn how to work in the round using a magic ring, change colors in the middle of a row, and use increases and decreases to create shaping in a project. You’ll also learn how to sew together separate pieces—all great skills to learn for any kind of project you’ll want to take on! (These skills also serve you well for crocheting garments like sweaters and socks!)
The materials you’ll need, which can be purchased in our shop (pretty please buy your supplies from us unless you already have them):
worsted/medium weight yarn (size 4) in two colors (about 20 grams for the main color and 5 grams for the stripes)
4mm (G) crochet hook
Materials that will be provided or can be borrowed while in class:
tapestry needle
scissors or snips
6mm safety eyes (will be provided)
stuffing (will be provided)
This class is $35 and is an intermediate class, recommended for adults and teens who are comfortable with the skills taught in our beginning crochet class, such as making single crochet stitches and reading a basic pattern.
